The Children’s Museum in Oak Lawn is having a “Casino Night” fundraiser on March 21st at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park with all proceeds benefiting the Museum.
The Museum board believes that this event is the organization’s best indoor adult event of the year and will provide hours of fun and entertainment for a good cause. Participants can try their luck at gaming tables and bid for items at silent auction tables. This year’s theme is the Roaring 20’s – Putting on the Ritz!
The museum is in the process of going through the steps of the 2015 Strategic Plan which includes information gathering from various stakeholders. The museum board will be holding forums and other opportunities to allow members to provide thoughts and ideas regarding the museum’s strategic plan. The Children’s Museum continues to operate with a simple and concise mission statement, “To positively impact a child’s potential in live through play-based education.”
