My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
At a quarter to midnight on the 1st of May, Oak Lawn Police responded to a call about criminal damage to property. It seems that a man’s car had been splattered with nail polish.
In the 5 hours prior to the incident, the man received over 20 calls from his ex-girlfriend. The calls went unanswered, as the man no longer wished to speak to her. That didn’t go over so well with the scorned party.
At 11:20pm, the ex-girlfriend showed up at the man’s door. He would not let her in. She called him once more from outside, telling the man to check his car as something might have happened to it.
The ex-girlfriend fled the scene before police arrived. The man decided not to press charges, but asked that the incident be documented in case there were future problems.
My Crazy Ex-Husband
Also on May 1st, at 8:10pm, police responded to a domestic disturbance call. A woman’s intoxicated and belligerent ex-husband seemingly crossed the line.
The ex-husband came to the woman’s house to pick up their two children for his visitation weekend. Apparently, the ex-husband learned that one of the children was being picked on by a neighbor.
The ex-husband stormed into the house, where he confronted the woman in her living room. According to the woman, her ex-husband threatened bodily harm, including threatening to kill her. The woman feared for her safety, due in part to the ex-husband’s intoxicated state and his history of violence.
The ex-husband was taken into custody, charged with trespassing and assault.
My Soon To Be Ex-Daughter-In-Law?
On April 29th, police responded to a report of theft. A man claimed he was scammed out of $2,82500.
According to the man, on April 27th, he received a call from a woman he believed to be his daughter-in-law. The woman claimed that she had been arrested in Mexico while attending a friend’s funeral and needed money for legal fees. She requested that her husband be kept in the dark about the affair.
The man wired three separate payments to a supposed lawyer in Mexico. When the 4th request for funds came, the man became suspicious.
Upon calling his son, the man learned that his daughter-in-law had been safely at home the entire time. He had been scammed.
