An unidentified couple and a 21 year old man from Orland Park reportedly caused a disturbance that included an alleged assault, a fall to the ground and no charges being filed.
Multiple Oak Lawn Police Officers responded to a call at Cooper’s Hawk Restaurant for a fight at about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The officers reported that a man and his wife, who they have not identified, were sitting in a booth while Bradley Surdyk, a 21 year old man from Orland Park, was at a table behind the couple. According to the unidentified couple, Surdyk and those at his table were loud and “causing a disturbance within the restaurant”.
According to the couple Surdyk spilled a drink on the floor and when he stood up he reportedly slipped on the drink causing him to lean into the unidentified man’s back. At that point, the man told Surdyk to get his elbow out of his back.
Surdyk allegedly stood up and asked, “What the f… are you going to do about it?” The unidentified man then allegedly pushed Surdyk causing him to fall. Surdyk reportedly told officers he hurt his knee but he did not accept any medical treatment.
Surdyk admitted to police officers that he was drinking alcohol. Surdyk reportedly didn’t want anything to do with the incident. The unidentified man did not want to press charges against Surdyk and the restaurant did not pursue charges.
