Unofficial results for Oak Lawn’s local elections are in. The Cook County Clerk’s office hasn’t certified the results from the April 4th election, but preliminary numbers are available.
Turnout was low, in comparison to prior elections. 9,200 ballots were cast, out of 38,228 registered voters. That’s just 24.07% turnout. Fewer voters turned out this year, 13.6% fewer than 2013, and 24% fewer than 2009.
In the race for Village President (Mayor), incumbent Sandra Bury won re-election.
Village Clerk saw incumbent Jane Quinlan running unopposed.
In the District 2 Trustee race, incumbent Alex Olejniczak won re-election.
In the District 4 Trustee race, incumbent Terry Vorderer won re-election.
In the District 6 Trustee race, former-Trustee Tom Phelan won re-election.
Oak Lawn Park District had 2 seats open for Commissioner with a 6 year term. Mary Pat Coughlin and Lisa Boland won in a field of 7 candidates.
Oak Lawn Park District also had a seat up for Commissioner with 4 year term. Jim Buschbach won in a three-way race.
