Police officers were recently called to Meatheads for a suspicious person report. One of the fast food workers reported that a man in the establishment may have been the armed robber who stuck it up in February. The employee making the suspicious person report was on duty that night.
When the police arrived they found the man who came into the restaurant and was eating. The employee was suspicious because the man came into the restaurant using a cane but went to the washroom without the assistance of a cane. The man also was looking around the restaurant according to the nervous employee.
Police officers spoke with the man, who was identified later as Joseph Love. He told officers he recently moved back into the state and he had never been in Meatheads before. The police checked the system, which was running slowly and spoke with the witness. The witness was unable to positively identify Love as the armed robber saying only that he looked like the offender but had shorter hair and had apparently shaved his beard into a goatee.
Love was told he could go and he left the restaurant. However, after allowing to let him leave, the officer learned that Love had an Active National Crime Information Center warrant from Michigan for the possession of Cocaine.
Two hours later, the police received another call that Love was in the parking lot. Upon arrival at Meatheads, the officer found Love sitting in the vehicle, which had a flat tire. He told the officer that they were waiting for a service call.
Love was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant after the Michigan authorities stated that they would extradite Love. The man who robbed the establishment in February was never captured and is believed to have left the area.
