Three Oak Lawn residents engaged in name calling, screaming and perhaps scratching eyes in a dispute over parking in a driveway reserved for residents but none of the neighborly souls were charged with any crimes.
Police were dispatched recently to an apartment building on 87th Street for a disturbance that included an allegation that one subject may have been scratched in the eye and shoved another resident. The first woman involved arrived at the residence at about 7 pm and parked her car in the driveway. This caused one of the residents of the apartment building to allegedly begin yelling at the first woman that the driveway was for resident only parking.
The driver explained that she was only at the building to drop off some personal items and would only be a minute. The driver claimed she moved her car to the street but when she returned the neighbor and the sister were involved in a full blown shouting match. The neighbor allegedly bumped the chest of the sister in an aggressive manner and not as if to celebrate a home run in a baseball game. The neighbor also allegedly called the sister a “…fat bitch”. The neighbor called 9-1-1.
The neighbor told the police officer that responded that it was the sister who started the confrontation. The neighbor claimed that it was the sister who began yelling for making a big deal out of parking on the driveway. The neighbor claims that it was also the sister that was hurling insults claiming that she said, “You’re a crazy purple-headed bitch”. The neighbor also accused the sister of pushing her into the side of the building and scratching her eye. The sister denied all of the allegations.
None of the participants signed complaints against the other and no charges were filed.
