The police were called to an Oak Lawn residence for a “fight”. When the police arrived the woman said that her baby’s father sent her a text message stating he was on his way to drop off the couple’s 3 year old child.
The baby’s father, identified as Esequiel Flores, allegedly also told the woman that he was upset with her because she was dating someone else. He allegedly then told her that he is also dating someone else and that his girlfriend was coming with him to “beat up” the victim.
When Flores and his girlfriend, identified as Vienna Watters, arrived, the victim came out to retrieve the child. According to the victim, Watters began yelling profanities at the victim in what the victim thought was a provocation.
Leaving no doubt, Watters allegedly then approached the victim and began to chest bump her which led to the 9-1-1 call.
The victim claims that she was hit in the face by Watters with a closed fist causing the victim to fall to the ground. Flores came to the assistance of the victim pulling Watters off of the victim.
Watters and Flores got back into the car but the victim wanted Flores to leave the child. The victim said she tried to stop Flores from driving off by reaching into the car causing her own cell phone to fall into the car. As the victim reached into the car, she claims that Watters continued to beat her as the car drove away.
The police radioed the description of the car through dispatch and Hickory Hills police located the car with Flores, Watters, and the child inside. Watters, 19 years old, identified herself as a white female with an address in Hickory Hills. Watters was charged with battery, posted bond and was released.
