Two Oak Lawn residents were recently arrested in separate incidents for disorderly conduct and assault in one case and public intoxication in another.
In the first case, on September 12th, police were called to 102nd and Central Avenue after a disturbance when a woman was in the back of her multifamily building with her dog on the grassy area.
According to the woman, a man parked his car in the parking lot next to the grassy area. She said the male Oak Lawn resident then yelled at her stating, “what are you looking at bitch?” He also allegedly said, “I will kick your ass”.
When the woman asked the man what he was yelling about, he allegedly threatened to “snap her neck and kill her dog”. Before entering the building at 102nd and Central, he allegedly told the woman, “remember my face, I’m crazy and I will get you”.
The police charged Christopher Lance Wilborn, a 42 year old white male with assault and disorderly conduct. Wilborn provided the police with an Oak Lawn address that was not the same as the building in question.
The public intoxication case occurred one day earlier. At about 6:30 p.m. the police were called to Worthbrook Park on 89th Place in reference to an allegedly intoxicated individual.
The dispatcher told the police that a white male was wearing a white shirt and khaki pants and was drinking in the park. The dispatcher made it easy for the officer to find the individual by noting that the man had a dog with him and had a motorized wheelchair.
The police reported finding the individual near the soccer field and allege that he had an open Miller Genuine Draft in front of him and two unopened cans of beer on the wheelchair. They also reported that the man, identified as Kurt Beck, was by the bleachers.
When the officer asked Beck what he was doing, he allegedly responded “nothing”. When asked if he had any children playing in the soccer game, Beck again allegedly responded that he did not.
The officer alleged that while speaking with Beck he began yelling obscenities. When a woman walked by him, Beck allegedly shouted, “did this fu…..g c..t call you?”
Beck, a 51 year old white male was issued an Oak Lawn Village Ordinance violation for drinking alcohol in a public park. He provided an Oak Lawn address to the police.
