On the eve of the closing of Chuck E. Cheese and the potential license revocation of a local motel, it may be time for crime reality show in Oak Lawn.
On Sunday the 29th of October, the latest version for a possible reality show centered on stupid criminal activity in Oak Lawn happened at Christ Advocate Hospital in the early afternoon.
Security personnel at Christ Hospital separated the victim and the alleged perpetrators before the police officers arrived on the scene after being called about the physical fight.
The victim and her fiancé were visiting her grandmother in the hospital when a nurse informed the victim that her cousin, Janeen Callum-Williams had called to let the nurse know that the victim “does not belong there”. The victim filled in the nurse by telling her there is “an ongoing dispute” between the victim and her cousin.
Another witness, related to both the victim and Callum-Williams, told the police that she had received a call from Callum-Williams stating she was on her way to the hospital to “kick (the victim’s) ass”. Callum-Williams then hung up according to the witness, who was also at the hospital.
The witness who received the phone call alerted the hospital’s security staff but Callum-Williams arrived with her boyfriend, Anthony Williams, before the staff could stop her from entering the grandmother’s room
According to witnesses, Callum-Williams allegedly immediately entered the room, approached the victim and began shouting profanity laced rants while pointing her finger at the victim’s face. Another relative ordered both the victim and Callum-Williams to take it outside.
The two women then allegedly began arguing in the hallway and a nurse told the two women to stop shouting and ordered both to leave the premises. As they were exiting, they allegedly continued to argue and eventually Callum-Williams pulled the victim’s hair causing the victim to push her away.
Both women allegedly began shoving each other with the victim apparently placing Callum-Williams in a headlock. The battle royal added a third person when Anthony Williams jumped into the fray and allegedly hit the victim in the face. According to the report, Callum-Williams and Williams continued to kick the victim in the stomach. The victim’s boyfriend separated all the parties and then security arrived.
When Oak Lawn police arrived, they confirmed the stories with other witnesses and placed Callum-Williams and Williams in custody. The couple denied hitting the victim. Both were charged with battery. Janeen Callum-Williams is a 34 year old black female and provided a Chicago address to the police. Anthony Williams is a 35 year old black male and provided a different Chicago address to police officers.
