According to police, a man that they arrested told them that he and a friend had hung out earlier, smoked some pot and drover around 107th street. Niezar Alzaaereir also allegedly told officers that the friend, who he refused to name, left the drugs in his car. Alzaaereir then said he was in an argument with his girlfriend and decided to head home.
Instead, he told police that he decided to stop at the 7-11 store at 102nd and Central to buys some “stuff” but he never made it inside.
Instead, he fell asleep in the car. He was awakened by Oak Lawn police officers who had been called to the scene due to a report of a “slumper” in a car parked at the location. Upon arrival, the police observed Alzaaereir slumped over in his vehicle.
According to the police, Alzaareir had his hands cupped in his lap and was allegedly holding small clear baggies containing a white powder and a clear plastic cigarette box wrapper containing green pills.
Alzaareir woke up when the officer opened the door, according to the police. When Alzaareir was asked what he had in his hands, he allegedly answered “drugs” and according to the police tried to place the bags under his radio in a small compartment.
After being told to hand the drugs over and exist the vehicle, Alzaareir was searched. Alzaareir told the officers that he had taken Xanex earlier which caused him to fall asleep in the car, according to the police.
According to the police, Alzaareir told them that the pills in the bag were Xanax pills. When asked about the powder, he allegedly said, “Honestly if I had to guess it’s Coke…”
Alzaareir was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Alzaareir is a 26 year old white male with a Chicago Ridge address.
