Worth Township’s Pace Mini-Bus Drivers (Part-time position)
Under the direct supervision of the PACE Operations Manager, the PACE Mini-Bus
Driver transports senior citizens and handicapped persons in the township to medical
appointments and grocery shopping.
The mini-bus driver must have a valid Illinois driver’s license with a CDL and apassenger endorsement and pass the PACE Driving School Course. The successful candidate must also be willing to submit to and pass an Illinois Department of transportation physical and the Federal Department of Transportation’s random and scheduled drug and/or breath alcohol tests. This individual must also submit to and pass a background check with the Illinois State Police. In addition, the applicants must have a clean driving record. Experience in driving a mini-bus is desired. Experience with a two-way radio is also a plus but not required. The ability to work well with the public is a must. Flexibility and the ability to be a team player are essential. The driver hired will have a six-month probation period.
Part-Time Oak Lawn Senior Citizen Bus Driver
The Village of Oak Lawn is currently seeking qualified applicants for the part-time, approximately 12 hours per week, position (no benefits) of Senior Citizen Bus Driver. Oak Lawn residents who meet or exceed the qualifications are encouraged to apply.
The driver transports passengers on a pre-determined route and assists with boarding and deboarding bus. Reports to dispatcher via radio any route detours, or whenever passengers might require assistance of police, medical or other services. Maintains daily work sheet and completes accident/incident reports when necessary. Other duties assigned or required.
Must speak, read, and write the English language fluently. Applicant must be in good physical condition and submit to random drug and alcohol testing. Experience as a bus driver or equivalent related experience a plus. Applicant must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent; must possess a valid Illinois Commercial Drivers License (CDL) (Class B with P endorsement); must have a good work history and a record of safe driving (5 years), no accidents or moving violations; and must pass a comprehensive background check and employment DOT physical.
Salary: $13.00 per hour (NO BENEFITS)

Oak Lawn Park District Community Pavilion Facility Supervisor
The Facility Supervisor position is responsible for a wide range of tasks including customer service, maintenance duties, assisting at the front desk, rental supervision, overseeing open gym and supervising shows, expos and tournaments. This is a second shift position and requires some weekends. The Facility Supervisor will be directly supervised by the Pavilion Maintenance Supervisor and the Assistant Pavilion Manager.
The Facility Supervisor is responsible for helping with the smooth operation of the facility. The duties include but are not limited to overseeing facility rentals including helping guests to the appropriate rooms, setup, clean up, and monitoring parties are rentals. Supervision of part time recreation, front desk, and maintenance staff as well as assisting the front desk during high traffic periods with registrations, daily visits, customer service, memberships, and open gym. The Facility Supervisor will occasionally have to visit two satellite facilities to assist with rentals. The Facility Supervisor will also provide onsite supervision of small trade shows, expos, and tournaments. Oversee open gym operations and ensure patrons are following code of conduct/rules as well as responding to a variety of issues including scheduling, rentals, customer service, maintenance or other issues that may occur. Communicating issues with program supervisors that may arise during evening programs is also essential.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Parks Administration or equivalent degree. Basic computer skills are required as well as the ability to learn Rec Trac 3.1. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, have excellent customer service, communication and decision making skills. Strong organizational habits are recommended and must have a valid driver’s license.
Availability: 40 hours per week Monday – Friday with weekend work occurring on a frequent basis. The second shift is flexible but generally 2:00pm – 10:00pm and may work in excess of 40 hours per week to achieve exceptional results. Will be on-call to support personnel and respond to emergencies if needed.
Compensation: The base salary is $33,000 – $35,000 as a Full time hourly position. This position qualifies for an IMRF pension, plus full individual benefits.

OLCHS is looking to increase our pool of outside on-call substitutes. The salary per day is $105. The hours are 8:10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
