Yawo Yannick Hegbe has been at Advocate Christ Hospital at least three times in the span of 11 days.
The problem for Hegbe is that the hospital has claimed he is trespassing.
Hegbe, an Evergreen Park resident, was charged with criminal trespass to property at Christ Advocate hospital in two of the instances. The 25 year old black male was found in the chapel of the hospital behind the curtain on September 19th. He allegedly had refused to leave and the police were called. He was allegedly found sleeping in the chapel, behind the curtain with his shoes off and his hand was allegedly in his pants. When asked why, Hegbe claimed that he is a Muslim and he was “praying”. He was arrested and will appear in court on October 3rd for that charge.
On September 27th, Hegbe found himself in trouble once again when he was found in the second floor bathroom of the east tower of the hospital. He allegedly told the officer that he came to the hospital to go to the emergency room. While the reason was better than his behind the curtain arrest, he was allegedly unable to give the staff a “medical” reason for needing to go to the emergency room.
Hegbe received his first warning on September 16, that he could not be on the hospital property. The hospital staff claimed that he causes disturbances and has been found sleeping in restricted areas of the hospital. When he was found shortly after 1 a.m. on the 27th, the police were contacted.
In this case, Hegbe was once again arrested for criminal trespass. He will have a court date of November 1st for that charge.
