Kevin Patrick “Ted” Cronin Sr., long time parishioner of St. Linus Parish, passed away on January 28th. Ted is the father of REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin and his three siblings, including Sean, a former TV weatherman and Congressional candidate.
Kevin Cronin may owe some of his creative ability to his father and mother, Mille, who were part of the creative team that created Way Off Broadway so many years ago to pay off the Parish debt from the new school. Ted and Mille Cronin have been steadfast supporters of St. Linus parish and school for the last 61 years according to the school.
Ted was also an active member of the Golf League, Mass Greeters and a 61 year member of the Choir. Ted was a parish legend for his singing ability which he undoubtly handed down to his son, Kevin, who became a rock star with REO Speedwagon. Ted and his wife lived on the street that was renamed in their honor. Ted’s funeral is today and he left behind not only a loving family but a parish that also loved him.
