Oak Lawn Loses Out to Evergreen Park?
At least one Planning and Development Commissioner Member has been “vocal” on Facebook, if that’s possible, claiming that high end grocery stores aren’t interested in Oak Lawn. The idea is disappointing to many who want a Whole Foods Market or a Trader Joe’s in town. If Oak Lawn’s demographics don’t work for the high end grocers why does Evergreen Park’s work?
Whole Foods Market will be opening on March 6 in the Evergreen Park. The new store will be located at 9600 S. Western Ave. so it may be time for the Village of Oak Lawn to look deeper into why Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods aren’t interested in Oak Lawn.
